Powerful Quote

Hello Readers,
Welcome back to my author's blog, Happy DETours!
I wanted to share a quick quote that I recently came across that really spoke to me. But first I want to share why.
I'm in the last third of writing my companion novel and I am stalling a bit. Not with the storyline but with my characters' journey. "I did a thing" in Chapter 20 and the ramifications of that reverberate for the rest of the story. Like waves crashing onto the shore, it leaves ripples in the sand, ever growing and changing with each new wave. I want to do the storyline justice and portray the fallout accurately, sincerely and in a heartfelt way until it reaches the resolution.
Whew. That was a lot. You can see why I am a bit fried and needing the extra time to do this right but I know my care and research will make the ending that much sweeter. Trusting my pantser process until I get the right tone or vibe is essential to the story and I have faith that I will get there!
"Women writers,
Be Fierce!"
~ Brooke Warner
I think this applies to all types of writers but it leapt out at me. It came at the right time in the final chapters of my novel. I like the definition of fierce: a heartfelt and powerful intensity. I am going to apply that motto to my story as I bring this duology to it's conclusion.
Thanks for following these stories of fierce, strong, loyal women and the boys they love in these twisty romances.
Have a Happy Valentine's Day!
Much Love & Happy DETours,
Jenn
